Cold Spell Jackson Pearce Books

This book is a wonderful adaptation of The Snow Queen. I really liked how I could match the characters with their fairytale counterpart. Pearce continues to expand the mythology she has created. I loved all the connections to her already existing mythology as well as all the new and interesting things she introduced. I like how we get more details each book.

I really liked the main relationship in this book. I loved all their little quirks and how some of those nuances came into play at the conclusion of the book.

There were so many unique and interesting characters. I especially liked the chapters from Mora's point of view.

This book was an easy and fun read. Some things happen too easy, but it's still an enjoyable read. I think Pearce's books have only gotten better. I liked Fathomless more, but I think that's only because of the subject.

I'm waiting for an epic team up book where all these awesome characters from each Fairy Tale Retelling come together to take on the Fenris. This needs to happen!

I hope Pearce continues to reinterpret fairytales into modern stories. I give this book a 4.5/5 and it's a must read if you've read Pearce's other books. If you like fairytales and haven't, I'd suggest starting at the beginning though. They are each their own stories, but the experience of reading them as a series is so much better.

Cold Spell Jackson Pearce Books Reviews

I really enjoyed Cold Spell and, as always, applaud Jackson Pearce's determination to present strong, believable female characters. The growth of Ginny and Flannery throughout the book is excellent. My only quibble is with the Ginny/Kai relationship. It seemed uneven, and I almost had the sense that a decision was made to tone it down somewhere along the way. I did, however, love the underlying message that loving someone does not require you to be fully dependent on that person--indeed, healthy relationships are usually those that avoid that trap. All in all, a very good book and a fun read for teens.
Jackson Pearce's fairy tale retellings are some of my favorite books to read. I love how they're all connected with the Reynolds' family, and especially liked in this one how Lucas Reynolds was a friend to the main character, not a love interest. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and regular fairy tales.
Jackson Pearces new twist on fairy tales (love her other books as well) is a fun read and I'd recommend them all to the young adult crowd,.... and everyone else..... can't wait until she decides to do another one.... Her non-fairy tale books are good as well!
Exactly as described
This is the final book in the series. Narrated by Ginny, Pearce modernizes Hans Christian Andersen's "Snow Queen.
Unlike other versions, Pearce maintains Andersen's original symbolism and themes.
This was a fast read. You definitely shouldn't expect any amazing literary novel but it is really cute. It is interesting story that keeps you going to the next chapter. The characters are well developed enough for you to care about them. If you are looking for a quick, fairy tale-esque teen fiction its a good pick
I loved this series! I read the books at the library , and I needed them cause I had the first two. love how this one is a twist on the snow Queen, one of my favorite Hans Christian Anderson books! I believe this is the last book in the series. it's well written, but you need to read all the books in order to understand, I didn't before I read this one and was last. so glad I went back and read them!
