Monkey Wrench A Quilting Mystery Terri Thayer Books

Terri Thayer's quilting mystery series carries a unique wittiness that I haven't found in other series. Her protagonist, Dewey, is delightfully sarcastic and unpretentious. Her exasperation at the ridiculousness of her sister-in-law, Kym, mirrors the exasperation I think many of us feel towards any self-absorbed individual who ignores the obvious and only seeks his or her own self-gratification. In this fourth novel, readers are able to see a greater depth in the characters of Frank, Pearl, and Vangie, and Thayer is able to accomplish this quite effectively through their interactions with Dewey and Buster. Also, I particularly enjoyed the way that Thayer developed Ursula so that she is more relaxed than she was in the previous novel, _Ocean Waves_. The mystery was interesting and contemporary, and showed how easily it is for people of any age to be taken in by the myriad of con artists out there, and I thought Thayer's description of Pearl's behaviors and emotions to be poignant and realistic.

Monkey Wrench A Quilting Mystery Terri Thayer Books Reviews

Got the first book in this series as a freebie for my . Got me hooked. Fun and entertaining read. Very good mystery, plus as a quilter enjoy that aspect being thrown in. I am currently reading the 4th in this series. Have enjoyed every one of them.
Hope there will be more to come. Also, hope for a wedding in future for Buster and Dewey. A reconciliation with Kim might be interesting as well.
Terri Thayer writes about a woman who inherited her Mother's quilt shop. Her adventures with her staff, customers, and growing relationship with her beau make for a fun read. This series of books was over much too soon! I enjoyed each of them so (sew!) much!!!
I have enjoyed all the books in this series and wish there were more. I hope the author adds to it. I like the characters, and the connection with quilting, especially the inclusion of the Quilters Crawl in this story. Also, the mention of more modern quilters. I liked the surprise near the end, just when it was feeling a little predictable.
Thank you
Loved this series of books - fun reads. Are there more after this one?
I love a simple mystery with lots of fun thrown in of a quilting store. I have read all of the books in this series - one right after the other. They are all good and fun with a continuing story but you do not have to read all to read one. I like a real life story with a little life, a little romance, and a lot of fun. Working through the mystery the same as the main character is fun and the mystery ends with a realistic conclusion.
