I purchased this book for my 9 year old grandson. He loves trying to figure out why things happen. This is an excellent book written so that a child of 9 or older will understand that sometimes there are no definitive answers as to why certain events took place. The book describes what went wrong on Flight 401 and the events that occurred after this catastrophe.

The mystery really lies in what took place following the unfortunate flight of 401. The wording is concise and yet easy for an older child to understand. It is hard to believe some of the things that many people state happened after this disaster. The book does not pooh pooh what has been sworn to by people who are of sound mind and body. Instead it indicates that perhaps someday someone will be able to offer a logical explanation of what transpired. Maybe truth is stranger then fiction. This book will not be put down until the last page is read. My grandson loved it and I have purchased several more books in this series, all very interesting and thought provoking both for kids and their elders. It is definitely a conversation starter as are the other books in this series.

For $8.95, you're really only getting a "Booklet" vs. a "Book" ! This piece consists of a total of 32 pages and that's counting a "Glossary", as well as an "Index" ! It features large print and some photos, so, those take up even more page space, which means you get very little information for your money !!! I bought this, "book", not realizing the number of pages,_ or lack thereof... as I'd been browsing through numerous titles and must have just overlooked that very important factor,_ never DREAMING anyone would refer to a 32-page document as a full-length book, when it's little more than a pamphlet ! It's too bad, since the topic is intriguing and the sightings of the departed were so well documented, by Airline staff, etc. ...
I did like this book but it's too short more like a magazine, but it has a lot OF interesting pictures.
I just received the paperback of "the mystery of the ghosts of flight 401" and I am extremely disappointed at my purchase. From the profile on the book, it appears that the book is a paperback containing possibly multiple pages and extensive narrative concerning the events of that fateful flight. However, the paperback is merely 32 pages long, possessing very little information (which can be already read in the internet) and it looks more like a children's book (with pictures spanning the whole page and the captions, which are the only material that one can read, embedded in them). I was expecting a paperback that resembled more a novel or at least a small treatise on the subject, but when I saw the very thin envelope arrive, I was already shaking my head in disappointment. I definitely do NOT recommend this piece of work at all. I would have been better off buying John Fuller's book. needs to put the information about the books more readily accessible for the buyers. If it was there, I still can not find it.
